1) The Landing. - Lake Vermilion Bar and restaurant with simple but good bar menu and a more comprehensive dining room menu.
2) Moosebirds. General store with gifts, groceries, tackle and great ice cream.
3) Head Of The Lakes Bay on Lake Vermilion has a deep basin good for all species of fish. Particularly known for early and late season walleye. (note: largest
population of whitefish in Vermilion attracts numerous large muskie)
4) The northeast side of Schmidt Island is excellent for deepĀ water walleye fishing.
5) Numerous points, islands and inlets provide protected water for a variety of water activities, such as water skiing, tubing, and sight see from the boat.
6) Wakemup Bay is the largest basin on the western portion of Vermilion. This is a great area for viewing birds all season with greatest numbers and variety appearing in the spring and fall.
7) Approximately 250 loons call Vermilion home. The count varies from year to year.
8) This region on Wakemup Bay is a deep flat which can hold walleye all season.
