Lake Vermilion: A Fisherman's Paradise
Long renowned for walleye, bass, panfish, northern and muskie, Lake Vermilion is one of Minnesota’s premier fishing lakes. Over 40,00 acres, 1,200 miles of shoreline and 365 islands make Lake Vermilion a top fishing destination. Vermilion’s countless bays and inlets and 365 islands provide solitude and protection from wind and weather in virtually any condition. In addition, the enormous amount of fish holding structure disperses fish and fishermen throughout the waters of Lake Vermilion.

Bait and Tackle Shop
Our full log Bait and Tackle Shop offers tackle, live bait, rods, reels, life jackets, maps and anything else you may need for a successful day on the water.
Docks
All of our docks have access to electrical outlets – whether you rent a boat from us or bring your own. If you bring your own boat, you will appreciate our convenient paved boat ramp. Additionally, we sell gas on-site.
Dock Services
Our attentive Dock Staff are always available to help you when you need it – whether to sell bait, gas your boat, point you to a great fishing spot, or clean your fish after a day on the water.
Lake Vermilion Guide Services
Our on-site fishing guide, Jarek, is always ready to get our guests on the fish. We can also connect you with any of Lake Vermilion’s other knowledgeable guides. At the beginning of every week from early June to late August, we offer a fishing seminar with a local guide to get you set for a successful week of fishing. Guides cover all the basics to give you a great introduction to the lake. Each week the water temperature and weather conditions change, resulting in a constant need to alter fishing tactics. Guides touch on all the favorite fish species and what techniques are currently most effective, and finish with time for questions and answers.
Minnesota Fishing licenses
Pehrson Lodge is an authorized dealer of Minnesota Fishing Licenses. Feel free to stop by the Main Lodge during your stay to get a license. Otherwise, you can purchase a license online ahead of time so you’re ready to hit the fish as soon as you check in. Please be prepared to provide your social security number when purchasing a MN license for the first time, as the state of Minnesota requires it.
